Russia and the United States are currently embroiled in a row over Ukraine. There are rumours that the US is sending more troops. NATO nations are adding to the tension. The war is likely to hurt not only Russia and the US but also other NATO nations. The present wars are destructive and even the victorious nations have to bear the brunt of it. Inflation rises in the war. Moreover, scarcity of essential commodities increases. Inflation has also risen in the US today. The war could affect India as well. Today, there are about 18,000 Indian students studying in Ukraine, of which about 1,000 are from Maharashtra. Therefore, India needs to pay more attention to this.
