It is nice to see that till today our young generation has kept up to the tradition of making old men to say goodbye to the previous year. This is a good opportunity for the children to show their talents by making different types of old men according to their art. I remember my childhood days when all the boys and girls in our ward got together and made old men. Then as per tradition we used to go to each and every house singing songs and collect money. Later, the amount would be shared as pocket money to celebrate the New Year with lots of love, fun and happiness. Those were the golden days of our lives and I salute the young generation for keeping this tradition alive to date.
