AAP can pull off an election win in Goa, but it will need to show proof of strong local leadership and not Delhi consultations. The party is certainly cashing in on the Covid crisis by coming up with its oximeter campaign. But is this campaign good enough to save lives?
AAP also boasts of having several doctors in the party. The party will have to take up issues very strongly and not just resort to rhetoric. One issue is that of Cutbona jetty, where the health officer’s suggestion of Covid tests for migrant workers has been ruled out. The AAP needs to support the medical staff. The party needs to innovate and not copy the Delhi model. It must work keeping in mind local aspirations and dreams.
