During the 2016 CCP elections Babush Monserrate floated the Panaji City Corporation Development Front panel and through a very glossy and fancy manifesto promised the moon to the residents of CCP which includes Ribandar. But the ground reality five years down the road is that the state of Goa’s capital city has only deteriorated further.
For the people of Ribandar, Babush Monserrate had made five solemn promises. Building of a new market place, Development of Garden and walkway parallel to the existing causeway, that the Football ground would be completed, building of the Hindu crematorium on a priority and restoration of old structures and monuments.
The five year term of the current CCP is coming to an end and none of those five promises have been fulfilled. Leave aside the unfulfilled Ribandar promises, a perusal of that manifesto reveals that Babush Monserrate has also not delivered on a single promise made to the residents of Panaji.
In that 2016 manifesto Babush Monserrate had assured that everyone would be engaged in a consultative process for the purpose of drawing up a comprehensive city development plan towards building up a ‘Cleaner, Greener, Efficient & Safe’ City of Panaji. Speedy delivery for development is our hallmark is what Babush Monserrate had assured.
I know your problems, I have the solutions and I have the ability to deliver is what Monserrate had also said.
So when he now comes to our doorstep for votes again, we need to confront him with his unfulfilled manifesto.
