The matter regarding a water valve existing in a leaking condition in the vicinity of Bakhle Motor Works along the Dhavali by-pass road in Ponda was recently published in this column.
Subsequently, an iron cover was noticed over this valve which existed in an exposed condition. But the valve situated inside this chamber continued to leak thereby leading to further wastage of the much precious water supply.
A glance at this chamber revealed that the said valve was still leaking and water was flowing out. Certainly, we cannot afford to waste water in this manner at any instance.
I once again sincerely request the higher officials at the Public Works Department (PWD) in Ponda to take a note of this important matter and initiate immediate positive steps in repairing the said water valve thereby avoiding further wastage of water.
Let us hope that needful would be done at the earliest without any further delay.
