'Betrayer' MLAs have again cheated voters

Goan politics has reached an abysmally low level due to yet another betrayal by Congress MLAs who had promised the electorate not to switch sides after winning on the party symbol. These shameless defectors even after taking a solemn  pledge before the Bambolim Cross and signing affidavits owing allegiance to the party symbol have again cheated the voters.  This act of cowardice seems to be the last straw on the camel's back as people's patience has run out. Even the clergy has given a clarion call to the laity not to take the shenanginas of these unscrupuous elements lying down but to resort to non-violence protests at the doorsteps of these conspirators.  The acrimonious spat between Urban Development Minister Viswajit Rane and former LoP Michael Lobo is common knowledge. Rane has levelled charges of illegalities committed by Lobo in acquisition of properties which could be the reason for his hopping onto the saffron bandwagon to escape the raids of the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax authorities as the double engine government of the BJP would exonerate him of all wrongdoings.
