Recently the news of online fraudulent rackets has been making headlines in Goa. The fraudsters call on the pretext of transferring money to the victims online accounts and ask them to use Paytm or UPI. After taking the innocent people in confidence, they ask them for QR code scan in GPAY, etc and thus withdraw money from their account. One has to be careful when one gets calls and with persons asking you to open such apps involving transfer of money to their account. Reports of fraud in property deals are also making the rounds where a person introduces himself as an army personnel and gains confidence of the caller before cheating them. Even ladies are involved in such frauds. The names are not real names with fake mobile numbers showing army personnel DP and flag of India. The names are with generally with surname Singhsab and some of them flaunt names like Sachin Sharma, Praveen Jain or Vijay Kumar, etc All these are ficticious names that throw up spam after a few days. People are requested not to fall prey to these online fraudsters and their schemes.
