The Supreme Court appointed committee clearly gave its opinion against the destructive linear projects which will destroy/pollute pristine villages, forests, thousands of trees, wild life, environment and ecosystems. Yet the Goa Government seems to have no respect for the judicial committee and also the many experts; and are arrogantly going ahead with the land acquisition process and in many cases in a fraudulent manner! Who are they so desperate to obey ?
Are the ministers of the Goa government independently taking decisions for the good of Goa and Goans or are they reporting to the Central govt in Delhi backed by few corporate sponsors who contribute big amounts to their party fund ? If so then why do we need elections in Goa and make a sham of democracy? Is it not better that those corporates manage Goa directly and destroy and pollute to maximize their profits ? At least we can deal with the destructors directly instead of their proxies, which in this case is the Goa Govt made up of so many questionable ministers.
