Ensure auto mechanics do not disturb public

At the service road at the bend of Mahila Nutan School is located the Indira Apts Housing Society where automobile mechanics from their cubicles ply their illegal and unlicensed trade of four-wheeler repairs over a stretch of a 100-metre road. The residents of the Indira Apts Society have a harrowing time to cope up with the pollutants emitting from the exhaust of vehicles, not to mention the blaring noise of the horns under repairs.  Most of the villagers from South Goa and Margao  patronise these roadside mechanics.

Since the mechanics disturb the housing society where senior citizens reside, complaints have been lodged with the Margao Municipal Corporation and the Margao MLA to arrange to relocate these unscrupulous mechanics from the heart of Margao to the outskirts of the town.  The vehicles under repairs are parked bumper-to-bumper without leaving room for residents to enter and exit from their premises.  A site inspection between the MMC and the local MLA is the need of the hour before the situation turns unmanageable.
