Cops who act like goons must be put behind bars for life

The lawyers in the state must be congratulated for unitedly coming out in full force across Panjim/Margao in solidarity and rightly demanding for the arrest of the four cops who were allegedly involved in the  brutal assault of Adv Gajanan Sawant in a civil matter recently. Unfortunately, the Goa government instead of swiftly arresting the four cops have now merely suspended them to temporarily cool down the tempers of these protesting lawyers despite the above mentioned cops being charged with attempt to murder.

Looks like the government of the day wants to slowly reinstate these rogue cops back on duty after  conducting a fake so-called 'magisterial inquiry'. I feel that if the Indian law is really equal to all then the government of the day should immediately get such type of cops not just temporarily suspended but arrested and put permanently behind bars to teach them a harsh lesson for life. If the government can frequently  put our innocent activists/helpless poor people from the interior villages in jail for peacefully fighting to protect/save the land of their ancestors then why not these cops?
