It is not just me, but all Goans abroad are astonished at the morality of our elected representatives “ switching sides. Logically, how can they do this and blame God for being their master mind and the Good Shepherd?
They have been elected by the voters for the candidate, the party and its ideology. It is a collective voice of the same people for the candidate who cannot have an identity of his own. In such circumstances how he or she be allowed to get away.
Today, there is no democracy in Goa. Let’s return to the Bible “ Judas sold Christ for 30 pieces of silver and this made Pontius Pilate’s scourge and torture Christ to the cross. Today our fate as Goan is the same. The CM, Ministers and MLAs have sold Goa to the rest of India.
The anti-defection law was made, but even that is being skillfully bypassed. There is only one way out. As soon as the elected representatives decide to switch sides, he resigns for his post or is disqualified.
