As a concerned citizen it worries me to see this damaged electric pole in Chandor on the newly inaugurated Margao road LT-043-80-20 27/3 lying in a dangerous condition for the past several months. Requests to replace this damaged pole with a new one has gone unheard. The pole with live wires is posing risk since it can collapse anytime and electrocute people. Open electric transformer boxes, broken poles with dense vegetation and creepers, linesmen dying due to negligence has become a routine thing with the electricity department. Increase in power charges and taxes has gone ahead but without proper maintenance services. All these poles and transformers need regular monitoring and servicing. Will the concerned minister and engineer take responsibility for these issues and replace this pole along with other damaged poles on roads in Goa to keep citizens safe.
