People might sing paens to the greatness of Tendulkar's and Gavaskar's batting prowess but there is only one name when it comes to all-round excellence in Indian cricket -- Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
One of the shrewdest cricketing brains, master of the 22 yards both in front of and behind the stumps, mentor to young players and an abject lesson in how humility should be the first sign of true greatness (consider how he placed himself at the edge of the frame when photographs of the recent IPL winning CSK team were being taken; he was nowhere near the trophy), no adjectives would be enough to laud the achievements of MSD in national and international cricket.
There is no title which he hasn't won for India, with every match Dhoni serves up a reminder of what constitutes leadership.
Here's wishing the best to El Supremo and hoping that he continues to enthrall us for a few more years, a true Bharat Ratna.
