We should thank Claude Alvares and all the people of Goa for the fight against double-tracking. The project was not benefiting Goans, but coal transportation of industrialists. Hope after the Supreme Court order hope the Goa government does course correction

Reward Thomas Cup winners handsomely

Winning the Thomas Cup by our men’s badminton team is a tremendous achievement. Our Sports Ministry has announced a measly Rs one crore as a reward for the whole team. If it had been cricket, the authorities would have been maybe more generous and give Rs one crore to each team member. That is what each member of the Indian badminton team should get. The Sports Ministry should revise their rewards and suitably recognise their achievement.
