Reward Thomas Cup winners handsomely

Winning the Thomas Cup by our men’s badminton team is a tremendous achievement. Our Sports Ministry has announced a measly Rs one crore as a reward for the whole team. If it had been cricket, the authorities would have been maybe more generous and give Rs one crore to each team member. That is what each member of the Indian badminton team should get. The Sports Ministry should revise their rewards and suitably recognise their achievement.

Food Bank: A good initiative

It is learnt that the Food Bank, Sangolda, has installed three food fridges at the police stations of Margao, Fatorda and Colva as part of the initiative to collect extra good food. The food that is stored in the food fridges will be picked up by a vehicle and distributed among the poor people.
