The PWD department has sent water bills to the residents of Collem after 3 months. The meter reader has disputed my water bill with a remark 'door locked'. The water meter is always installed outside the house and I am getting my bills regularly. When the bills are sent after 3 months all the people are billed @25 per unit after crossing 16 units. To rectify the bills, people have to travel to Curchorem a distance of 25 km. The meter reader wants to harass people with disputed bill or the government wants to fool the people saying that water is free below 16 units. I have been billed Rs 417 for 4 units. The water meter reader should be duly instructed to issue correct bills and not to harass the people.
