Fight for Mhadei must continue

River Mhadei is our mother which is nature’s gift to our State. But as things stand today, Goans are on the edge of losing their mother with Karnataka almost succeeding in diverting the water.

If the water is diverted from Mhadei our fields, ponds, lakes and other water bodies will go dry and we Goans will be miserable.

For the past many years Karnataka is fighting with other States like Goa and Maharashtra for water from River Mhadei. We all want water for survival and without it is difficult for farmers to grow crops.

It's high time that all the political parties in Goa unite and come to an understanding that Mhadei should get priority over all other issues.

The Centre in its quest to come to power in Karnataka should not play dirty games which will disturb the peace within the two States.
