The helmetless rallies conducted by Ministers on August 15 are a blatant violation of the MV Act. No one was booked. Why? Because, as stated by the Traffic Police they were not aware of the same.
The noise pollution from blaring music around the coastal belt goes on unabated. Once again, the Goa Police says they are not aware of any such violations. Truly the Goa Police must be awarded a prize for being ‘unaware’ of happenings that directly affect their duties.
This fact affects the lives of the law abiding public. The public must refrain from commending them for any other works because this is unacceptable. Further, many times the police resorts to public relations by interacting with school kids for traffic regulation, etc. Goans must learn not to compromise over issues that affect their lives just like FIFA.
