Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that Mhadei water diversion issue is in favour of Karnataka. With the said announcement the Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant must be forced to resign as he failed to keep his promise on mother river. Mhadei is lifeline for Goa and the decision to divert the same to Karnataka is to solve water problem in Hubli and Dharwad district of Karnataka. Considering the fact that Supreme court to hear Goa's plea on February 13, the matter is almost in favour of Karnataka and may not produce magic. The Goans now feel that they are betrayed by BJP in State and Centre on the issue and strongly oppose the decision. The future action may be Goans coming on street to object to the decision and may impact further political situation in Goa. The coming elections may also affect BJP and Congress may have the advantage to bring back this issue on agenda. The said decision may even affect day-to-day law and order situation as many activists will be on streets to raise the issue. Hope there is consensus and any future decision is in favour of Goa.
