It is well known in Goa and outside Goa, that the state ranks very high in corruption and horse trading ! In my view, one major reason for this is because in small state of Goa with a small local voting population, illegally setting up high density vote banks works I think at more damaging level to proper democratic mandate in Goa versus any other states (with mostly larger states with higher percentage of local population). I want to reiterate the main issue or outrage I have is with these corrupt Goan MLAs misusing these vote banks for their personal agenda and impunity to who what they want with arrogance as we see in Goa today; particularly with the massive destruction to the environment and selling of our land to “extremely rich money bags” from outside the state.
I think it’s high time for Goans to start “pulling the rug from under the feet “ of corrupt Goan MLAs by addressing all illegal vote bank settlements to their logical conclusion.
