It is shocking and sad to see that in our small beautiful State, a large number of people are succumbing to the dreaded virus on a daily basis.
What is more shocking is nobody in the government is taking any responsibility for the deaths occurring in GMC and in fact ministers are passing the buck and playing blame games.
For the last 10 days we hear of over 60 people dying of Covid in the State every day. Deaths in the wee hours at GMC are more perplexing as the oxygen levels drop drastically during this time even as the government says there is no shortage of oxygen.
The government has failed miserably in tackling the second wave of Covid with cases continuing to rise.
We would not have faced this situation today if our CM had imposed strict restrictions at the borders when Maharashtra and Karnataka were witnessing a rise in positive cases. Calls for a lockdown were also rejected by our CM.
The only solution now is to vaccinate as many Goans as possible in the quickest possible way.
Request our CM and health minister to make vaccines available at the health centres and hospitals and also ensure that the 18 plus category get their doses quickly.
It’s time to stop blame games and work unitedly in the interest of public to save their lives.
