This refers to the editorial ‘Is it a moral win or tactical retreat in NEET?’ (TGE, July 25). The editorial was insightful.
While the agitation has ended after the Centre accepted key demands, the larger concerns over transparency, accountability and examination reforms continue to merit attention.
Many students have been injured by lathis, tear gas and pellets. Who is going to take responsibility for this? The NTA is being revamped. However, will the security personnel be brought to book for their misdeeds?
The government has clearly mishandled the situation, and it needs to answer to the people. In the meanwhile, more power to the students; they are the future of our country.
