It is really sad to see that every time the people of Goa, our Niz Goenkars, have to take to the streets to protect Goa for Goans. Outsiders like the land mafia, builders, and real estate agents are trying to destroy the peaceful environment in Goa for their personal gain. In Sancoale, the Bhutani project of apartments and villas is coming up, which will be a major destruction for the village. Goan landowners are being stopped from accessing their own plots because the Bhutani group from Delhi has built boundary walls. Now, people from Delhi and Mumbai are acting as if Goa belongs to them, but Goa belongs to Goans. What do these outsiders know about Goa and Goans?
Today, Goa is being controlled remotely by the central government in Delhi, and our CM Sawant seems unaware of what’s happening. From the police to ministers, everyone has been given “good deals” and “set up” to stay quiet, becoming blind, speechless, and deaf like the three monkeys. Modi Sarkar and the BJP government promised “acche din,” but for the citizens, it has only been “bure din.” For money and power, the government has made a U-turn, and the destruction of Goa has already begun, not just in Sancoale but in other parts of Goa as well. They are eyeing our land for their personal benefit, with the support of our local MLAs and village panchayat members, all of whom seem to have been bought. They just blame one another.
Please stop destroying my beautiful Goa. If this continues, Goans will face shortages of water, electricity, garbage issues, and the loss of peace and harmony in the future. It’s high time we stand united to protect Goa for Goans.
