Contractors, engineers in dock over bad road works - The Goan Everyday - September 28, 2024. Potholes and craters are the hallmark of roads in several cities in the country. Many have been injured or have lost their lives on account of such bad roads, with no accountability on the part of the authorities.
It is commendable, therefore, that the chief minister has directed the temporary suspension of licences of road contractors responsible for this situation. It’s time the authorities, not just in Goa but in other cities like Mumbai, wake up and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of citizens.
