PM Modi should take first vaccine shot

In the true spirit of "sabke saath, sabka vishwas" being touted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it would be in the fitness of things for the PM himself to take the first approved vaccine shot followed by the President of India, the Defence Minister, the Finance Minister, the Minister of Environment and Forests and Climate Change followed by the entire council of cabinet ministers and MPs, Speaker, Deputy Speaker at the Centre to send the right signal that vaccine trials and efficacy of proven selected quality can make people follow the footsteps of the Central ministers in a live televised extravaganza. Then as the vaccination drive begins in the States and union territories, all the chief ministers, governors, speakers, deputy speakers and the entire State cabinet ministers as well as MLAs of the ruling party as well as the opposition should then follow suit to assuage the fears of the people. As reported from Russia and UK in particular, there have been only minor glitches but by and large vaccination drive has not posed any major health hazards to the recipients. The people of India will definitely follow suit if the political leaders show the way.
