Recently, potholes along the stretch of road from Ganganath Shoppee towards Almeida High School in Ponda were filled up. However of late, the potholes have re-appeared at this spot thereby raising doubts about the quality of work involved in undertaking the road repairs.
With the rains getting momentum once again, water has been accumulating inside these potholes thereby making it difficult for travellers to guess their depth. Overall, it is the two-wheeler riders who remain the worst sufferers in the process. They are most likely to be hurt in a mishap in case the vehicle loses balance over the existing potholes.
It is the need of the hour for the concerned authorities to consider the difficulties of public at large proceeding along above stretch of road and arrange satisfactory filling up of the potholes at the earliest before the situation further aggravates in the near future.
