A hanging LED fixture has been noticed over a electricity pole in the vicinity of Bhingi Farm House at Talaulim in Ponda for more than three months. The same has turned useless in serving its basic purpose of providing illumination along the road. Due to wrong position of this particular fixture, travellers and pedestrians proceeding along this location during night time face inconvenience and trouble. Neither the linesmen nor the elected representatives of the local village panchayat viz the VP of Wadi-Talaulim have initiated favourable action in the interest of public at large. Interests of innocent travellers and pedestrians must be protected at all costs. Hence it is the need of the hour for the senior officials at the electricity department to arrange re-installation of the existing hanging fixture in its original correct position so that it serves its basic purpose. As of Tuesday October 12, situation in this regard was found to be the same. Prompt favourable action would be appreciated by every resident.
