Rejuvenating the Cong party

After Prashant Kishor’s trial and error in Goa to float Mamata’s TMC, he is now trying to bring back India’s grand old party, Congress, back into contention. At the recent Assembly elections, TMC ended in splitting votes and help BJP win in both North and South Goa. The whole idea of floating TMC in Goa was to defeat BJP and its ideology, but the TMC hardly made any difference. Now that Prashant Kishor is trying to rebuild the Congress for the 2024 elections, it’s a big challenge ahead for him. Congress which started losing its credibility of being secular, socialist and democratic in its ideology did no harm to other political parties in elections held so far. The party has decided to start rebuilding afresh by enrolling more and more youth with new faces. The party needs to go to the grassroots level with new faces and ideas to face the upcoming panchayat elections and so on. The party also needs to bring about a change in leadership -- both at the Centre and states with more dynamic youth and new ideas in favour of Indians.
