At various roadside tyre puncture repair outlets we come across tyres displayed vertically as signage. During the monsoons water collects in them which is not cleared by the shop owners ; many a time we see mosquito larvae breeding in such receptacles. As it is we are battling Covid and viral fever these days, why invite dengue, malaria and other vector-borne diseases and add to the misery. The village/ municipal authorities should take strong action against such parties and remove their tyre signages immediately besides imposing fines. Another public health emergency would be a disaster.
