Travelling on the Betim to Malim road is becoming difficult day by day. It has become a backbone breaker road due to potholes, which are lying unrepaired. The road has been widened for a long time, but its condition has worsened and both vehicles and users continue to suffer. Big potholes, more like craters, are seen on the road. As a result, there have been accidents on account of two-wheeler riders dodging the potholes. The Malim-Betim road connects villages like Verem, Reis Magos, Nerul and Candolim via Pilerne. The road is important as several tourists take this road to reach Calangute and Candolim beaches. It is time the authorities pay special attention and undertake hot-mixing of the deteriorated road on an urgent basis.
