This is to request the Transport Department and the Kadamba Transport Corporation to start ladies’ special buses on all main routes, at least during peak hours. A large number of female college students and working women travel daily, especially during the morning, afternoon, and evening peak hours.
Given the recent incidents in the country, there can be cases of harassment and molestation while traveling on public buses. It has also been observed that a significant number of migrants travel by public buses during peak hours, and their backgrounds may not be known. Additionally, some young male tourists exhibit a “Goa Mein sab chalta Hai” attitude.
A ladies’ special bus service would be a blessing for the female population traveling in the State.
