The problems caused by the speed governor devices arouses considerable distaste. However, the taxi drivers of Goa are like the 'life-line' of tourism industry in Goa. The amicable and welcoming behaviour displayed by the taxi drivers definitely leaves an indelible mark in the minds of the tourists, while they are vacationing in Goa. Goan taxi drivers have always maintained their norms and provided immense hospitality, as it's in the blood of every Goan. Unfortunately, the said issue poses a big challenge as it concerns the bread and butter as far as the taxi drivers are concerned. Moreover, they are also burdened by the loan installments pertaining to their vehicles, along with several other grievances. It's also pertinent to note that the concerned business is seasonal, but there still lies a beacon of hope that it might change in the near future. Eventually, to alleviate financial burdens, and to safeguard the interests of the taxi drivers, the State government should provide some leniency in this matter. A swift solution is the need of the hour, so that it doesn't undermine their livelihood.
