It was really shocking to see just three legislators namely Carlos Ferreira, Alex Sequeira and Anton Vas welcoming Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao at the Dabolim airport the other day at the time of his arrival from Rome for the first time as Cardinal in Goa.
Hey, where was our Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and his council of ministers (especially all the Catholic leaders from the party) who are otherwise known for frequently rushing/waiting for hours at the Dabolim airport to welcome even some self-styled 'babas/swamis' from the neighbouring states, their central party leaders and posing for pictures to get some cheap publicity for themselves in Goa? Aren't the recent achievements of this great son of the soil of no importance for a single leader from the current ruling dispensation in Goa?
I think that the ruling BJP government has openly insulted the Catholic community in the state by deliberately indulging in such an outrageous act and casually ignoring the recent achievements of this great son of Goa. Shame on the Goa government.
