All is not well in the Electricity Department. There is a huge shortage of workers throughout the State and in Guirdolim, they have just 3 linesmen at night time and 2 in the day to handle complaints in Guridolim and Chandor-Cavorim.
Till now the department has not filled up the vacancies of those who have retired or neither transferred any linesmen. The small team in Guridolim cannot handle such a big area and there is deficiency of service in Chandor-Cavorim and Guridolim village.
This small team has a tough time and cannot cope up with the large number of complaints. The power which was disrupted by thunder, lightning and heavy rain last night has not been restored even after 12 hours.
Even the street lights in the village that were replaced when the power minister visited the Chandor-Cavorim are not in working condition and have to be replaced as soon as possible.
This is as request to the concerned authorities and to the Power Minister to rectify the situation at the earliest so that the pressure on those who are working is reduced.
