It is often assumed that no directions are needed to reach Dabolim airport, as the road is straight and familiar to most. But not everyone knows the way. One late night, a woman lost her way after taking a wrong turn. She waved for help, but no one stopped. The fear and anxiety in such situations”especially for a woman at odd hours”is very real.
Even our own driver was hesitant to stop. We realised that no other driver was willing to guide her either. The authorities must urgently put up clear signs along the route to the airport. This is important to ensure people can reach their destination without confusion. Sadly, advertising boards are given more importance instead.
