The government seems to be up to its old tricks of blackmailing the Opposition into submission. The LoP seems to be in no position to take on the government. The newbie MLAs lack sufficient knowledge and are afraid to take on the Govt. There is a hurry to change all electrical equipment with new ones because there has been no proper maintenance. Extra high voltage transformers have a life of 65 years and if we are replacing them before their time that it is because of poor maintenance. Further, all these costs will be added up and the tariff rate will be changed. The Sonsodo fire destroyed electrical equipment: will the new equipment mean increased tariff?
