Those violating ban visiting waterfalls should be fined

After drowning incident of two LIC staff at Mainapi, Netravali the forest department has taken action to restrict the entry at such places. Goa is known for its beautiful nature and scenic beauty and during monsoon the forest and waterfalls attract more tourists and locals too. On Tuesday again in another incident a 16-yr-old youth drowned in laterite quarry at Cansaulim village. The youth along with two friends had gone for swim but unfortunately one got drowned. The Aguada fort is full of tourists and local Goans too who want to enjoy the monsoon season. During rainy season more picnics and trekking is organised by groups and friends. There are many accidents during selfie taken on mobile by the individuals standing on the edges of stone or waterfalls. The government should take some strict measures to restrict the movement of children and family members, groups , tourists during monsoon near waterfalls and mountains. There should be ban on visit to waterfalls and if someone violates the rules, he should be fined.  It's better to take precautions beforehand to avoid such incidents and loss of lives.

Tragedy reportedly struck a group of picnickers on Sunday as two persons drowned in Mainapi waterfall in Netravali in Sanguem taluka. In another tragic incident on Tuesday two youth died by drowning in quarries reported at Curdi and Cansaulim.
