Accusations against Mandrem MLA are serious

A Complaint has been filed against Mandrem MLA and Chairman of Goa Housing Board Jit Arolkar for tax fraud, disproportionate assets, land scam and money laundering. In separate complaints addressed to the Enforcement Directorate, Income-tax authorities and the CBI it has been sought that the misdeeds by Jit Arolkar be thoroughly probed.

In the complaints filed on behalf of Mapusa based 76-year-old Rawloo Vaikunth Khalap currently residing in California, the authorities have been given complete details of the huge land scams that Jit Arolkar is allegedly involved in.

The authorities have been urged to promptly investigate the complaint in accordance with law despite Arolkar’s status as a politician.

The High Court last week has reportedly directed the Superintendent of Police of both districts to act against those playing loud music beyond 10 pm with permission.
