Adeus Monte Cruz, Goans will remember you forever

It is truly sad to hear that the owner of Belo Beer and former Sports Minister, Sir Francisco Monte Dcruz, is no longer with us. He will always be remembered by the people of Goa, football lovers, and clubs for his remarkable achievement in creating and completing the Nehru Stadium in Fatorda in just six months to host Goa’s first international football tournament in 1989.

Goan football fans are proud of him and express their heartfelt gratitude for the Fatorda Stadium. We request Chief Minister Sawant and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai to honour Monte Dcruz by naming the VVIP gallery and West stand after him. His contributions should be documented in history books so that future generations can learn about his good work. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends. May his soul rest in peace.
