Every year JEE, NEET exams are conducted all over India for admission in professional courses in colleges. The Goa government has decided to conduct one common entrance exam from 2024 which is a welcome move . However the applications for admission to Science steam for undergraduate course are invited before the results of XII exams are declared by the board. This leads to applications by many students who are yet to know their marks and eligibility based on cut off marks. The applications should be invited only after NEET results are declared as the students will know the status and apply accordingly. Today students career has become important and many aspire to get admission in professional colleges. The seats are also reserved for various categories where many remain on waiting list. The authority conducting exams should declare results and then colleges must start inviting applications only after all the exam results are declared so that the rush for applications is avoided and only those eligible will apply for the courses which will save time and long wait on waiting list
