I am amused at the news these days about the land grabbers. Suddenly it seems a whole lot of land thugs, criminals with political backing and blessings are caught in the nets and perhaps this is going to be a mammoth disclosure if and only if the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane are serious and have the will in getting to the root and exposing the culprits whoever they may be. I am glad that the TCP Minister has taken the hammer and tong approach to clean up the system. A feat that no minister has done in the history of Goa and India. Enough is enough and it is time now that the whole system in all the administrative departments are synchronized and cleaned up. Politicians from all parties are having nightmares starring at a gloomy future. It will be wise for the BJP to keep away all the political opponents who try to switch over into the BJP. Land grabbing was happening since many years and all the old cases need to be probed and punishment needs to be meted out posthumously.
