Amid tall predictions, who will form next govt?

With yet another week to go before the conclusion of the nationwide 7-phase voting, the countdown to the formation of the new  govt at the Centre has already begun.What however  is most amusing and unrealistic is the  tall claim of the BJP to have crossed the half-way mark of 272 seats even before the end of the fifth phase of voting  and now heading for the 400+ target along with its NDA allies.  Not to be left behind  is also the claim of the INDIA bloc that it has already  got the majority and is all set to form the next govt at the Centre. It therefore makes one wonder whether all this is the outcome of wishful thinking or something meant  exclusively for public consumption. Probably, it  could well be a new branch of political and speculative mathematics discovered and mastered by our erudite politicians to gain political mileage at election time. Time alone will tell.

Private sector should prioritise jobs for locals

The state government are giving incentives to private entities to provide more jobs to Goans. The private sector should give preference in jobs to locals.  Already there is a scarcity of jobs in the state.  Talented individuals are hired only at a handful government offices only.
