Is Goa State of the Goans or of outsiders? The Goa government in various departments has been filling up vacant posts and queues of jobless people both men and women are seen to submit application forms in various categories. But the sad part is that the said departments do not send the interview/ exam dates to the applicants who have applied but are later learnt that the posts have already been filled. Is this a setting done internally by offering the post to the one who offers a handsome bribe? Today when we go to various departments we can see many outsiders in government departments. The funny part is that they don’t even know to speak our mother tongue Konkani. You will also be in a rude shock to hear their names and surnames. It is clear that for the greed of money, power and vote bank our politicians have sold our identity. Our Goan brothers and sisters want to work in Goa but are deprived of the opportunity. CM Pramod Sawant always says that he and his government will regularise the jobs of the daily wages workers in various departments who have completed 15 years but there’s no government circular announcing the same. We hear of these job promises only before elections. Hope the present government will give government jobs to Goans.
