Arpora p'yat should take up construction, desilting drains

On behalf of residents I request the village panchayat to take up construction  and desilting work of drainage system at Arpora-Nagoa village  before rainy season and cut down trees leaning over houses. A big banyan tree is leaning over the house of  Meera Parsekar which could cause fatalities if it falls. Poor drainage system causes waterlogging during the monsoon season due to its inability to effectively deal with excess rainfall and runoff in areas such as Baga near Meera Parsekar's house, tambudki salt lake ground road and St Joseph's high school road. Water logging during monsoon season is a big problem and it disrupts the lives of the people completely.  In such circumstances, roads and streets get blocked causing traffic jams and pedestrians have to face the problem. And sometimes water enters the house of  old lady Meera Parsekar as there is no drainage system, which  has been  blocked by a builder. As there is code of conduct of general elections, I hope panchayat must have made a provision in budget and got it sanctioned which will help pre-monsoon works start immediately.
