Attack on CJI indicates where India is headed to

Lawyers across South Goa district on Tuesday strongly condemned the shocking incident in which a senior lawyer allegedly attempted to hurl a shoe at Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice BR Gavai on October 6 by shouting 'India won't tolerate insult to Sanatan Dharma' during court proceedings at the Supreme Court in New Delhi.  Well, from the time Modi government has come at the centre in 2014, it has indeed become a fashion for some divisive elements to continuously come out with their own imaginary stories/claims/demands and file cases in the Supreme Court to waste everyone's time using the cover of Sanatan Dharma. Today, if we are seeing these divisive elements flexing their muscles that's because they want these lawyers/judges to bypass scientific temper and give all verdicts based on some mythological religious beliefs in their favour to humiliate minorities. Anyway, CJI Gavai should be congratulated for keeping his cool by ignoring that unfortunate ugly incident and still going ahead with the court proceedings giving more importance to the Constitution/scientific temper at the Supreme Court in New Delhi.
