Bad roads & potholes are all-season malady

Despite being a world-famous destination and witnessing high density traffic on a daily basis, the roads in the State are no smooth ride. 

Most of the roads are dotted with potholes for years, making the ride to work quite tiresome. 

Travelling on roads in Goa is back-breaking and motorists not only have to bear the costs for the wear and tear of their vehicles but their health too.  

The roads are in such a bad condition that makes one wonder if they are meant for cattle to walk on. With large chunks of the road missing at some places, it is a nightmare for travellers. The root cause of bad roads seems to be improper asphalting.  

It is said that poor road conditions in Goa is the main reason for not implementing the new traffic law. 

The government must take full responsibility for accidents that occur due to bad roads and compensate all the victims. Concerned citizens must also think of starting a new campaign, ‘Hole of Shame’.

Rising fuel prices a cause of concern

Fuel prices are on the rise in Indian States and Goa is not an exception. Earlier, Goa boasted of lowest fuel (petrol, diesel, gas) prices in the country.
