Bhumiputra Bill feedback: Why ask for personal data?

To submit objections to the Goa Bhumiputra Adhikarini bill on www.goaonline.gov one has to submit an Aadhaar card number along with the other details like providing email id, mobile no, name, address and date of birth along with OTP authentication.

So many important personal details should not be asked by the government when asking for objections. This will deter many citizens from submitting their opinions online which will defeat the whole purpose of the consultation if it is one.

Name and email should be sufficient when submitting these objections. We hope our government IT services will carefully think before harvesting unnecessary personal data of citizens that is not required and can be misused if it goes wrong due to technology issues.

We hope our CM will make this process easier and less of asking for personal data of citizens.

The whole process of all the submitted objections of citizens should be transparent so all can view the number of objections and the summaries. Let everyone in great numbers submit our objections by tooth and nail to protest against the bill to save Goan land.
