It is clear that the ‘mining’ in Goa is not of the depleted grades of iron ore but of its very own land. On the one hand the government has formed an SIT to enquire into the land grabbing by forgery of dead owners’ signatures while on the other hand the government is learning how to usurp land from the comunidades by changing the law. Where is the difference between the two?
The Attorneys of the comunidade must sit together and go to the Court to get those seeking to rob the comunidades arrested. Once again I must congratulate those who queered the election pitch by bringing in the Trinamool Congress and the Revolutionary Goans Party. Sheer stupidity and total lack of political maturity. These people could not even read the writing on the wall. Three cheers to the Panaji voters who never seem to learn. Goans can only pray for their fate and the fate of their lands now.
