The BJP government has faced serious criticism for the widespread destruction of Goa’s environment, including its hills, trees, water bodies, and no-development zones (NDZ). This destruction has occurred because they have allowed land sharks and real estate companies from outside to ignore local environmental laws.
The current government keeps blaming previous non-BJP governments, but when activists and media uncovered the facts, it became clear that this was misleading. The current BJP leadership has actually played a role in allowing these major project violations, including the destruction of the Reis Magos hill, forest, trees, and wildlife by DLF.
It seems they are simply following the “Blame Nehru Policy” of PM Narendra Modi. I urge the Chief Minister to do the right thing and tell the truth to Goans, as they want to address him as “Honourable Minister”.
