The Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour, taking place at Varca Beach, is a bonanza for sports enthusiasts across the state. Supported by Red Bull, it is one of the best-organized tournaments with 17 nations participating. Spectators are treated to high-octane matches that continue until late in the evening under floodlights, allowing office-goers to also be a part of the action.
Music concerts by Goa’s leading bands and international DJs liven up the proceedings during the night. The festive atmosphere is further enhanced by the food and beverage stalls at the venue. The best part is that all these events are free and open to everyone. Kudos to the Goa government for this excellent initiative; at least they are doing some things right.
